Jeff Koons for H&M

Matt And Chanel

The infamous Balloon Dog by Jeff Koons is now shoppable
on a genuine leather bag available online and in-store at H&M July 17th!

I've had my share of H&M bags and this one is definitely
a little more quality than their other bags.
I love the thin shoulder strap!

I paired my Jeff Koons bag with a simple "Summer Luxe" look.
So happy I got my hands on this oversized white vest from Simply Chic!
I've been on a quest for a perfect oversized white blazer for the longest.. but a vest will do.
It's so refreshing.

Trend To Try: Incorporate a swim suit into a full outfit.
Picked this leopard suit, shirt, and shorts up from H&M.
This year they kicked off their Summer campaign with Gisele Bundchen as the face.
She even recorded her own version of 'Heart of Glass' by Blondie with Bob Sinclair!
I think her beautiful voice and gorgeous bod go perfectly together in the music video.

Seattle is finally in a time of the year that the sun is reliable. Sort of!
Either way, I couldn't be any more eager to get my Summer wardrobe together.
This year I think I'm going to expand to more patterns and textures in my every day outfits.
I really want to master mixing prints.

My H&M Festival Look. No Color Included.

Matt And Chanel

How to handle Festival Fashion overkill? Color choice.
One topic that has been brought to light this festival fashion season is bohemian overkill at festivals. My take on this is color choice. By keeping my color palette all dark and neutral the whole look is cohesive and chic, yet the lace and airy pants still stay true to the essential boho vibes of festival season!

Wide Brim Straw Hat- $12.95
Cylindrical Leather Bag w/ Tassels- $149.00
Lace Espadrilles- $24.95
Lace Tank- $9.95
Wide Leg Lace Trim Pants- $24.95

Speaking of festivals- this year was the 5th consecutive year that H&M was an official sponsor of Coachella. This year at Coachella they also held an exclusive VIP event where they announced their collaboration with ALEXANDER WANG. Gah! I will definitely be snagging a few items from this collection. The collab and party all support the H&M Loves Music campaign. H&M believes that there is very close tie to fashion and music. With their collections, customers are able to express themselves and their own personal style. I couldn't agree more. This is why I feature a song on every post! For this year’s campaign, they’ve collaborated with musical talents ranging from DJ’s, Producers, and Artists who are all the faces of the campaign.

at the H&M Paris Fashion Show at Paris Fashion Week. They are both avid supporters of this Conscious lifestyle.

How do I live consciously?
In many ways!
Every few months I empty out my closet and hand down
my clothes to my cousins and family friends. Whatever they don't take
I give to Goodwill! I like to think I have pretty good taste so
so someone else can enjoy my clothes for a little while
longer than I did. Another way I live consciously is SHOPPING SMALL.
If you're not familiar with that term, it means to shop and buy local.
I have a new found love for boutiques.
Everything is unique and you don't run the risk of wearing something
everyone else has! I died at my visit to Satori Boutique last week.
Also, the best food always happens to lie at that
random little local place you run by.

Just another simple look featuring my new H&M skirt! I love the length of it. It's short enough to be flirty, and long enough to wear at my internship.
I'm also loving this Alexander Wang Inspired bag from Simply Chic. Nothing like a high fashion replica for a fraction of the price. Being a college student, unpaid intern and fashion lover, brands that take style notes from high end designers or affordable stores that do style collaborations with high end designers are my life pretty much. Speaking of style collaborations.... I've got my eye on a few. Phillip Lim for Target AND Isabel Marant for H&M.... it's going to be a good Fall/Winter.

ALSO, the 50 States of Fashion Contest is still going on and strong. Don't miss your chance to enter and get your votes up. Last day to enter is August 21st!
