Seeing as there was an actual Tornado just a few miles south of Seattle this past weekend
, I think it's officially time to say bye to Summer and... the sun. If you've been reading my blog for awhile now, you should definitely know I freaking love the sun. There's just something about it that brings me to life. Like the second it touches my skin I get an instant energy boost! So it's kinda sad to see it go :/ BUT, I am a tad bit excited for Fall since I already have two super cute coats to rock that I'm in love with. You can find out where I got them from in my Fall Haul here
About the outfit: Back in August, the lovely owner of Movv
contacted me and inquired on doing a collaboration for her online store. She really wanted to get the word out about her sites one and only exclusive top, The Serena Backless Tank. She hand makes each top with super soft and lightweight fabric. The perfect summer staple. I'm a little sad I didn't get to wear it more often. For now, this will suffice as my go-to top to get things done around the house (my family blasts the heat so this icky weather doesn't phase me and my Serena Tank). Whether thats the rare blue moon I decide to diy something or when I feel like my closet is getting crowded and I want to post a few things to my Poshmark
account. Or recently I've started to list all this random junk in my garage on Craigslist. I was set on having a garage sell this summer to sell most of it but I never got around to it. BUT YEAH OKAY ANYWAYS, I paired this top with a pair of light wash high waisted skinnies. Such a casual outfit needed accessories to make it pop so I opted for red, as always. My Coach mini messenger bag is actually more of a cranberry color, I loved the tone difference. Oh, ad my red Birkenstocks were handed down to me from my Grandma! These are pretty legit. She owned them in the 70's or 80's I believe. To top everything I tied the look together with leopard sunnies and silver jewelry. My Liza Schwartz bracelet, purse, belt and even my Birk's all have silver embellishments. So a few silver rings were in order. Wa-la, my take on a casual day wear outfit.
For all my readers in LA or sunny places, try it out.
